I exercise after breakfast..but what confuses me is that if I burn off the calories I ate for breakfast and maybe then some..if I eat lunch and dinner wouldn't the exercising be all for nothing since i gain those calories back from the next two meals?

I'm 255lbs/15 years old, and im trying to lose weight, but i can't seem to find a good routine.

It is good that youo exercise daily but the best time is either when you wake up, or an hour or two before bed (after dinner) Your body uses about 2000 calories a day so if you limit to 1500, you will begin to lose weight. ( about 1-2 a week). Exercising will just add to the weight loss quicker! =)

I am also 15 but weigh 170 pounds and trying to fit into those tiny bikinis and cute jeans! Just limit portion sizes and drink plenty of water (for your weight, i suggest 80 ounces a day).
Stay away from junk food, fast food, and sodas. Try a school sport like soccer, basketball, tennis, or track and that will also add to losing weight

Good luck! just stick to it and you will see some results in less than a week!

There really is no right or wrong time to exercise. For many people it comes down to their schedule and lifestyle.

However, different body types respond to different exercise routines, times, activities so you need to be patient and find what works for you. Remember your body will also go through a variety of adjustments, so you need to listen to your body to know what it needs.

Given you are a student, I would suggest exercise before school so you have energy for the day or as soon as you come home from school, before hitting the books. Either way, you will definitely sleep better and this can only be beneficial to your overall well-being.

Remember that your body is gonna burn 2500-3000 calorie a day no matter if you eat breakfast or not. With your work out your body will burn even more, while your sleeping, sitting talking . Ok. The best time to work out is when your metabolism is at its highest point, and morning like between 8:12 is the best time. Good luck!

You should exercise 3-4 hours before you go to bed. Or a half an hour-an hour after dinner. Dinner is usually Americans biggest meal, and everyone usually sits around after it. Best way to jump start your metabolism is to do intense exercise every other day, and a light walk for about 10-20 minutes after dinner.
*Weight control tip* instead of eating 3 large meals a day, try eating small meals every 2-3 hours. (small servings) and make sure they vary from flavor to category (i.e fruits vegetable dairy or nuts)

You are defiantly overweight, even obese, i know it's hard, i weigh 140 pounds and I'm 13...I'm at risk of being overweight, but if you want it THAT much, you'd join a gym, you'd buy lots of fitness DVDs..just be strong, i know you can do it :D
