Is this the nuveau way to break a date without repercussion??

Are you a bad date?
being sick is always a great excuse...because it can be a 24 hour thing that goes away fast.
Why don't you tell the guy you'll bring over soup and a movie to watch so you don't have to cancel? if he says no than you know he's faking it!

Just remember it is bug and flu season....

It's not really new. I remember along time ago, when you see the so-called "sick" person out, you could always make a snappy crack about how amazing those new miracle drugs are.
Anyway, sorry about your date, but if a person lies to get out of a date, well, you know, he's not worth it. So call up some friends and go out and have fun.

I don't think it's nouveau at all. Everyone's done it. It's been going on for thousands of years! But maybe he really was sick? If it's the same guy that has cancelled on you three times I wouldn't agree to anymore dates with him.

is this the same guy or 3 different ones?if it's cold/flu season he might really be sick but honestly i doubt it.they are too chicken **** to be honest about wanting to go out with you-most of the male species are-but if it's not the same guy who keeps breaking the date you just might be having some bad luck with the dating thing but if it's the same guy who keeps backing out then ya i'd say he doesn't want to go out with you.don't worry luck will come your way

nah honey, not new. Next time ask to bring him over some soup and a movie and hang out with him. If he says hes contagious, say you got a flu shot. if he still says no, than forget him. sounds like a real a** anyways.
you can do better.
guys do crap like this so they dont have to tell you they dont want to see you anymore, because they are p*ssies.
idiots.

That is new to me. Clearly this is a cop-out on his part. Unless he has persistant health problems, cancelling out on three dates because of illness raises some questions. Which leads me to the next question:

If he didn't want to go out with you, why did he ask you out?

If he's done it three times in a row, then yes, sounds like it is an excuse.

Either turn up at his door with chicken soup or tell him to call you when he's feeling better and move on.

Was it the same guy? Or is there something going around? They might all not have been lies but the chances that they all were truthful are slim.

In a word, yes. If it's the same guy I'd give up on him.
