We should support the war, because: John McCain supports the war......

think about... this guy was tortured for 5+ years as a POW in Vietnam... he has seen what war does, lost friends, seen the death it causes. he´s experienced it first had...

he should be the very last person in america that to support war. UNLESS... he knows how important it is for this country to stop terrorism.... not to give in to these radical muslims...

Sadly at this point in time people are SO ENTRENCHED in there ideals of the war and the president that NOTHING will change there minds. If god himself came down and told them that they were wrong and the other side was right they would cast it off as a right/left wing conspiracy to get support for there cause. One must love how divided this country has become. The question also comes is the US about to fall as every other empire has in the past? Let’s hope not.

Yeah, we should believe a guy who says you can walk freely on the street of Baghdad because he did -- and he fails to mention he was wearing a bulletproof vest, and had a platoon of Marines and 3 helicopters escorting him.

McCain's brain is addled and that he supports the war it is good reason not to. It is obvious he has no idea of what reality is and lives in a fantasy world.

Also, there are plenty of people who have served in Viet Nam and are against the War, Hegel, a republican included.

the meidia messes things up with this war i wish people would open there eyes and see that rarely does the media focus on any good in Iraq good things have and are hapening in iraq if we wouldnt have stepped in the civial war would have snowballed till it would become a huge world problem a people are directing their anger towards the soliders who signed up so they could not only serve there country but have a better life than what they did we need to rember that soliders are people too and not sum political standing

war is a terrible thing no one is for war but someone has got to do the job and we should respect them for that

You know...who really cares about John McCain. He's still a typical politician. The war is B.S. It simply fulfills the Bush Agenda...Bad Post for you man.

remember a few years back when he was totally opposed to Bush and his policies but now he's curled right up to him in bed. That's the power of the party. He wants a political career and the only way he'll have one is by playing nice with the party. He's just a "balding ho".

But then again, you have Chuck Hagel, who was in Vietnam, recieved two purple hearts. and also knows about war, and he is complety apposed to it because he sees it turning into another Vietnam.....two sides same argument

For the record...I did not support starting this war in Iraq, however, I do think that we are so deep that leaving before finishing what we started would be a huge mistake.....

Poor John hasn't been the same since the war. He is totally deluded on this issue.

McCain's having served honorably in the past does not mean that his judgement is therefore unquestionable for all time. He's mistaken concerning Iraq.

It's obvious that John McCain's description of Iraq and the REALITY of Iraq are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

So why should we follow someone who is OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY?

If you haven't figured out that the Iraq was was never about terrorism, then you're hopeless. Shiites killing Sunnins and vice versa is a civil war and it has nothing to do with Al Qaeda. It doesn't threaten us, so we should not be sticking ourselves in the middle of it. It's not our fight. We're wasting lives for nothing.
