Self rightousness is defending one's own behaviour whilst judging is direct at someone else's behaviour

Self-righteousness is a position or attitude; judging is an activity. In order to avoid judging, you must learn the art of suspending judgment. That is, acknowledge that you do not have all the facts, the background against which a particular behavior took place, and so you really don't know if it was good or bad in the long run. You don't have to call everything acceptable in order to suspend judgment. Such an acceptance is in fact a judgment to avoid condemning anyone. I am recommending you neither condemn nor approve, but remain neutral and recognize that you do not have the facts on which to base a sound judgment.

Hi, the true defination of judging is that you cannot judge the persons character but you can judge the sin they are about to or have commited, being self-righteous can easily lead a Christian to fall into the habit of judging the person instead of the offence and the problem is that they themselves will be blind to their own faults.
