As a Mother of a US Officer & Ranger, it comes right to my mind that she is a media seeking nutcase thanks to all the special interest groups she has allowed to shape her thoughts & actions. She has camped out for weeks with media across from his home when his family was there. By now Elizabeth Edwards would have had her thrown in jail & the ket thrown away. She would be "afaid. very afraid". She is afraid of neighbors who lived there for years.

Sheehan says she wants an explanation - well, many about about it the right way & received condolences. The explanation is war stinks & soldiers die. If her son did not understand that, then the acorn does not fall far from the tree. Every soldier is told & knows the odds of deployment 98% & death .36% notice the point in front - less than 1/3 of 1 percent.
She wanted her son to be the exception to death & the president can't & shouldn't have to explain why he was not.

He has already met her. She is upset because he did not say something that suited her political opinions.

Besides - how seriously should we take someone who thinks that Hugo Chavez's methods for running a country are better than ours?

I feel sorry for her family. She DOES have other children... I can only imagine how they feel having lost their brother and then their mother going crazy like this.

Clearly, she's mentally ill. She DID lose her son, so I can't judge her for that. She probably wasn't a stable person to begin with and this just pushed her right over the edge.

I'm embarrassed for her every time I see her on T.V. (when I don't change the channel upon seeing her face, which is rare). She speaks about foreign policy (not just relating to Iraq) and it's terribly obvious that she's not a terribly intelligent person and her knowledge of history, government, and foreign affairs is woefully deficient.

She's basically a stalker. The ONLY thing I will give her credit for is that she is organizing her protests in appropriate places (public areas near the President) and NOT at funerals of soldiers. She may be mentally unwell, but at least she still has a heart.

(Can you tell that my head tells me that I can't stand her, but my heart feels sorry for her? She truly needs to be on meds. and live her life with what's left of her family.)

God help us, in case you ask someone who hates Bush you receives " definite he lied and folk died" in case you ask a professional Bush supported " you get no he did not lie he replaced into precise" properly the following is the extremely brilliant answer in accordance with websters definition of a lie. A lie is a pretend fact made with the awareness that it replaced into pretend on the time of the fact. so as that suggested, Bush did not lie! all of us understand for a incontrovertible truth that Iraq had WMD's no one can dispute that truth. we may be able to also say that the President Bush replaced into incorrect! So women and boys you are able to make an unfaithful fact and in no way lie in basic terms as you are able to make a real fact and be incorrect. i'm no longer a professional Bush individual, i'm also a staunch anti Obama individual. Its completely possible to be adversarial to the way the present administration has operated and also trust that a polar opposite like Obama can be a minimum of as undesirable.

She is driving on auto pilot due to her handlers. She falls in the category of Hanoi Jane, a true turncoat against what her son stood for.

We have an all volunteer military so no one was drafted into service. I was watching TV the other day and a comparison of number of deaths came up. They were saying that the number of deaths per year, was less than murder rate per year in ALL the major cities in America. So, our soldiers stood less chance of dying in Iraq, than someone on the streets of New York, Philadelphia or Los Angeles.

That says a lote in my book. In Nam, 54,000 people gave their lives in 10 years of fighting. Congress tried to run the war from Capitol Hill then, like they are trying to do now.

Remember, we lost Viet Nam!!

I think the president truly has better things to do than met with this total nutter..............does that devalue the loss of her son, IMO not in the slightest, her loss is just as great as any other mother who has suffered the same loss.

As an aside, my son was joining up around the time that she was on the news every day and after about a week of this he turned to me and said MUM I know the risks, you know the risks but this is what I think is right for me to do.............PLEASE PLEASE do not shame me or your self if we should ever be at that point....its not going to bring me back and will only make it harder for everyone...........out the mouth of a 17 year old............as i sat there in the car choking back tears I made a promise that I would not do that to him or his memory............I just pray that it will never come to that point for us...........

I think Cyndy Sheena has proven time and again that she cannot be respectful of rules and procedures.

Regardless of your feelings toward the person you are meeting with, you still need to be respectful. I am not sure she can do that. She is that type of person that things have to be her way or no way, and I think President Bush and those around him see that.

I think she won't want to leave. I think she would keep pushing issues that can't be answered. I think she would do the things that allow us to find her irritating instead of helpful.

I also think that if President Bush meets with her, he opens himself up to taking meetings will all sorts of people.

I think he has talked to her. He probably has nothing else he can say or do that will please her. She has had a loss and while she may feel it was senseless and Bush may feel it was the unfortunate cost of freedom neither can bring him back to life through discussing it any further. She would do her son best by seeking counseling to coup with this loss and Bush serves the fallen soldier best when he does his job.

because the crazy ***** is a terrorist and a nut. He met with her once and she attacked him and would not calm down and had to be escorted away. She did not care about her son and all she did was use his death to advance her nutty ideals. Here in ROK she was supposed to show up and we have BOLO posters for her and if she attempts to gain acess to post we are supposed to imedatly aprehend the crazy *****. She should have her head checked. If I was Bush why would I want to put my self in this position. ..... Shadow Stalker

You hit on a lot of it. There is no reason that he has to sit down and meet with her. I believe he already talked with her once....I may be wrong.

Sheehan is a lunatic seeking publicity on the coattails of her deceased son. I truly think she just wanted the attention the protest would generate, seeing as she was basically estranged from her son anyway. She's a media wh0re.

I may be mistaken but I think President Bush (note: I put President in this answer) has already met with Sheehan. What else does she want and what else does she think he can do other than get her another year or so of fame?
