When Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well, he said that the time is coming and now is when those that truly worship God will worship in spirit and truth. The Scripture says that "God does not dwell in a house built with hands" The original temple was a place of worship, but the true temple is the body and soul.

Man's home is earth and God's home is man.

Yes the bible does.....the bible saids in Relevation there would be a last day church and he gives us 7 clues to what church it is.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman (church), and went to make war with the renamant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

1. It will appear and do its visible work after it emerges from the wilderness in 1798 (Revelation 12:6, 13-17).

2. It will teach the same truths the apostles taught, and all of its teachings will agree with the Bible (Revelation 12:17).

3. It will keep the Ten Commandments, including the Bible Sabbath (Revelation 12:17).

4. It will have the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 12:17; 19:10).

5. It will proclaim God's three end-time messages with a loud voice (Revelation 14:6-14).

6. It will be a worldwide movement (Revelation 14:6).

7. It will teach the everlasting gospel, which is salvation through Jesus Christ alone (Revelation 14:6).

Do we know who that church is maybe? Thats what im trying to find out now. The one I think who have these qualities is 7th-day Adventist (all the qualities).

Where two or more are gathered in MY name, there I am. He spoke in Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah...and more about truth, and HIS truth was revealed in the New Testament. Jesus Came, Suffered, Exited, Came back, Resurrected! MY sins die because of Him, he left me the Holy Spirit and the sins in my life change due to HIM and my admittance of Sin.. Shoot, I do things different now that I didn't even realize that I used todo..So I know, its God not me, carrying my but to heaven thru Jesus! So my answer is any church (2 or more people) that believe by the Power of Jesus Christ, that is the only way to heaven- Period. My belief he is my savior. Ephisians 2 8-10 state that not even good works will get us into heaven- least we might boast! The end of the New Testament says the very last passages of Revalations 21:18 says, if you add anything to the bible..or take anything away-God will add to him the plagues that are written about in this book.. because you will not be saved..and prophecy speaks of suffering with plagues in the end times. A true church is a Bible believing Church between 2 or more people, it can be at a coffee table or in a big building.. it doesn't matter... Just Worship Jesus with all your heart soul and mind!

When I was a kid there was this great story strip in the Sunday comics about an old cowboy on his run down horse who never would go into a regular church. Usually it had a short story of moral value and would end with him sitting on his old nag looking at a beautiful natural scene with some comment like, "This is God's church."

Personally, I believe that the true 'church' cannot be contained in a structure built by human hands. I believe it is in the beauty of nature and resides within our spirit.

JMHO.

Scripture never mentions using "which church came first" as the basis for determining which is the "true" church. What it does teach is that one is to use Scripture as the determining factor as to which church is preaching the truth and thus is true to the first church. It is especially important to compare Scripture with a church's teaching on such core issues as the full deity and humanity of Christ, the atonement for sin through His blood on Calvary, salvation from sin by grace through faith, and the infallibility of the Scriptures. The “first church” and “one true church” is recorded in the New Testament. That is the church that all churches are to follow, emulate, and model themselves after.

What Church? Scripture reveals this Church to be the one Jesus Christ built upon the rock of Saint Peter (Matt. 16:18). By giving Peter the keys of authority (Matt. 16:19), Jesus appointed Peter as the chief steward over His earthly kingdom (cf. Isaiah. 22:19-22). Jesus also charged Peter to be the source of strength for the rest of the apostles (Luke 22:32) and the earthly shepherd of Jesus' flock (John 21:15-17). Jesus further gave Peter, and the apostles and elders in union with him, the power to bind and loose in heaven what they bound and loosed on earth. (Matt. 16:19; 18:18). This teaching authority did not die with Peter and the apostles, but was transferred to future bishops through the laying on of hands (e.g., Acts 1:20; 6:6; 13:3; 8:18; 9:17; 1 Tim. 4:14; 5:22; 2 Tim. 1:6).

By virtue of this divinely-appointed authority, the Catholic Church determined the canon of Scripture (what books belong in the Bible) at the end of the fourth century. We therefore believe in the Scriptures on the authority of the Catholic Church. After all, nothing in Scripture tells us what Scriptures are inspired, what books belong in the Bible, or that Scripture is the final authority on questions concerning the Christian faith. Instead, the Bible says that the Church, not the Scriptures, is the pinnacle and foundation of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15) and the final arbiter on questions of the Christian faith (Matt. 18:17). It is through the teaching authority and Apostolic Tradition (2 Thess. 2:15; 3:6; 1 Cor. 11:2) of this Church, who is guided by the Holy Spirit (John 14:16,26; 16:13), that we know of the divine inspiration of the Scriptures, and the manifold wisdom of God. (cf. Ephesians 3:10).
