Florida rarely gets snow. Brisbane does not get snow at all.

Snow has not been recorded in Brisbane city but it has been recorded nearby at Mt Tamborine and also on the tops of some of the highrise buildings on the Gold Coast. The furthest north that snow has been recorded in Australia is on the Clark Range just inland from Mackay in Queensland which is well into the tropics. The ranges in southern Queensland around Stanthorpe, about two to three hours from Brisbane, get snow most years.

I can't comment on Brisbane, but I used to live in Florida. I saw it snow once in Daytona Beach (east-central coastline of Florida) about 15 years ago -- it was brief. But there is effectively no snow in Florida, to be fair. It does frost, however; just about every winter, the temperatures drop below freezing for a little while and frost isn't uncommon. It's a little colder in the northeast panhandle than elsewhere.

It has never snowed in Brisbane.

It's a sub-tropical city, the night time low temperature rarely gets into single figures (celsiuus).
