i know a lot of interesting facts about vinegar such as Acetic Acid CH3COOH is what gives its sour taste and a few gardening, cleaning, pet, and automotive uses. Just need to know if it does or does not. If so how does the process work as far as if it oxidizes etc? Thanks

It could be that vinegar slows down the digestive process, then one feels full longer and finds it easier to avoid eating again until meal time. Or it could be that, as claimed by those vinegar capsule people, vinegar flushes fat from your meal out of the body. Or it could be that by drinking a glass of water with vinegar before a meal fills you up before you start eating, leaving less room for food. Or it could be that vinegar, being a healthy liquid, makes you feel better and consequently, you move about more, burning more calories.

Don't know how it works, but, I know it does. When I drink water w/ ACV in it with a meal (esp. if I eat something like pizza), I can feel it working....my stomach feels tighter too. Another plus is that drinking this has really helped with my acne (cleared it up w/in a week !) Oh, &, I lost 5 pounds by drinking it, but, stopped due to not being able to get accustomed to the taste.

vinegar will lower the glycemic index of a high carbohydrate meal. this reduces the amount of insulin that is secreted after feeding. by reducing insulin levels the potential for fat storage is decreased and lipolysis (fat burning) can continue. when insulin level rise too high fat burning is halted.
