How badly does it hurt to get an inverse (bottom) navel piercing? Also, is it harder to heal than a standard navel piercing?

Everyone has a different pain tolerance and no one can tell you how bad it will be. In my opinion, it felt no different than a standard navel piercing and of my 6 navel piercings none were ever more than a 2/10. But I have a high pain tolerance. You may be different, but know that the piercing itself is done and over with very quickly and the worst part is the area will be sore for a week or two and you'll have to take great care of the piercing to make sure you don't get an infection. And yes this piercing is harder to heal because the bottom of the navel usually lacks the 'lip' that the top has which means this piercing is more likely to reject if your anatomy isn't suited for it and if you don't go to a skilled piercer. Good luck

It's not any worse than the top. The bottom is thicker, but pain is pain...either way you know it's going to hurt at least a little bit. It takes like a week longer to heal only because of the thickness.

Don't let other people,
tell you, how it is going
to be on your body.
It is over with so fast,
you don't even have
time to yell ouch. The
pain they are remembering
is the after pain from the healing.
It does get a little tender.1-2 out'a 10
Talk to your piercer, that's your
best source. It's not so bad.

Everytime I got my belly button pierced I got pregnant. So I let it grow up permanently. My hole turned into a stretch mark..lol Never had the bottom side done though.

Best of luck
