I can't say, some people who claim to be "Christians" often don't even know the meaning of being a Christian. Otherwise, they'd be smart enough to know that being a Christian means you're not the best person in the world or the smartest. In all truthfulness, when someone comes up to a Christian and asks them a question, the Christian ends up trying to think of something to make up to impress that person instead of telling the truth about not knowing the answer if they don't.

Christians who think they're "all that" have got it backwards, when you meet a true Christian they approach you with humility and kindness, not smugness and pride. I suppose it could be said that it's because they are still humans. Everyone is human, so, in that case, we're all going to do the same thing eg; be prideful, arrogant, good, etc. Everyone has emotions, it's just the thing that God does to those people to help them change their natural reaction of anger or something to humbleness and grace.

I can imagine if a random Christian were to read this they'd be offended for asking about why they're narrow minded!

I'm not offended at all, it's just a question. I can't say I know all the answers because I'm not some super smart person.

I suppose it could also be because it's just their views... Why are we so narrow minded about abortion? Why are we so narrow minded about war? I guess it's simply because it's our views. When someone has a view, they intend to use it. Some people have different views, like, if you meet someone who is as I described above, the good one, you'll see that their views aren't meant to harass and make it their way. They might even agree with you, it just depends on what "Christian" they realy are.

I'm a Christian myself, and I believe that we can be prideful and narrow minded. It's how people act... that's all I can really say.

Sorry if I didn't answer your question fully! My apologies!

J. Linket -

Edit: We believe and look to was we believe for knowledge. The number one thing to remember is that we should love, even if people hate us. You don't have to agree with our knowledge or what we believe, we just see it the way Jesus showed us...

Surely I say to you, we are no disease... a proper "cure" for Christianity is a good education...?

I think we all believe in unexplainable things.

People believe in airplanes without even a rudimentary grasp of aerodynamics (does Lift operate by the air underneath pushing up, or the air above pulling the wing upward?)

People believe in nutrition without understanding much about amino acids and proteins.

People believe in the Law in America without bothering to read the Constitution.

I could go on and on. How does aspirin work? How does internal combustion work? What's gravity?

There's nothing unique about Christians believing the unexplainable. Unless you think you know all there is to know, so do you.

If you want to try to qualify it and say they believe the unbelievable, well, that's common as well. Some people bought Yugos.

I'm not disagreeing really with what you said. I'm just pointing out that you haven't really said anything, because we all do that.

It's not unexplainable , the Bible explains it all. You know the concept of right and wrong, it didn't come from thin air, it originated from the Ten Commandments.
As Christians we are like everyone else, we still sin, no one is perfect. The only difference is that we believe God is our Father, he created the Heavens and Earth, and that Jesus is our lord and Savior because he Died on the cross for our sins. When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, they sinned thus everyone is and always will be a sinner. As Christians we acknowledged this and know that if we do what the Bible says and ask for forgiveness and kept in check what we say and do. Most Christian's problem is that we know right , wrong, what the bible says we should do, but we focus it too much in other people to judge them , instead of focusing it on ourselves and making sure our walk with Christ is strong one.

I think it's because true believers universally adopt a solipsistic philosophical viewpoint. Basically, they imagine their own perceptions actually are reality. Generally lacking a good secular education, especially in logic and scientific methodology, they tend to believe if they don't agree with something, then it's simply not true. The only known cure for Christianity is a good education.

First what is the unexplainable ? You must have a relationship
with Our God , then all things are explained . He made you ,
me and , all things . Some where in you is reaching out for
Him . Why resist ? ask the real question and you may be
supprised at the answer . But remember God has wrote
His Word in the Bible for us to read and know him . So
when something doesnt sound right you can check it for
your self .

because of the fact from some human beings's perspective not believing in God would not make experience. they're honestly specific God exists and all of us who claims to not have self assurance in him is only rejecting God or rebelling against him or whatnot. Edit: Yeshua is the ideal occasion.
