Yes, it would hurt. What you have is an addiction. You have overcome that addiction for 6mths, but the urge is still there. Don't fall into it, because much like an alcoholic it only takes one slip to go back full blown. Don't throw away those mths and your health. Just flush the dip and get some gum. You'll feel better in the long run.

Dipping is unhealthy just as is smoking. Dipping causes a cancer called leukoplakia. These are white bumps on the inside of the cheeks, lips and on the gums. To remove the cancer they usually have to remove parts of the jaw as well. Dip if you want but it's a scary thought. Here's some info on leukoplakia: http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00458.html

If it's an addiction, yes, it will hurt because then you'll start up again. Get rid of the can and don't be around other people that do it. You've got to avoid it, just like alcoholics can't drink just one.

Yup. Don't dip. When I quit a friend of mine told me that he quit by chewing cinamom sticks. I tried it and it worked. Not quite the same, you have to actually chew it till it gets down to a pulp, but it did work.

Yes, all you need is that one more to time to start back up again. Think about how hard is was to quit the first time. Do you want to go through all that again? Just be proud of yourself for quitting. You saved your life.
