Yeah, I gotta agree with Fuddles on this one...the question seems simple enough and I too, not a theist, think it's out of school for me to answer. And yet I will. No, I wouldn't switch, I couldn't imagine switching anyway. Maybe I lack imagination but, no.
God commands other things in the bible that I don't abide by. Face it, the bible was still written by men with human reasoning and dispositions to be homophobic and misogynist and racist.

I think true homosexuals have a primary attraction for the same sex, and some is said to be genetic. It makes sense as the X or Y chromosome may carry extra genetic information. I believe there are also people are caught between due to some life experience, or change, go from one to another.I would call that situational. I don't think you will have anymore success in therapy with true homosexuals than you would changing a heterosexual or pedophile. Entitled to therapy? I don't believe therapy helps someone crossover that is truly one, anymore than I believe you can change a fixated pedophile. There is the crux, there are situational pedophiles and some in between that therapy can help. Bit not one who's sexual orientation is to children. I am not putting homosexuals in the league of pedophiles. I only used it as an example. Pedophilia is a crime if you act on your impulse! That is why almost all pedophiles will re-offend and re-offend and re-offend!!!

This feels like a trick question for some reason. But my answer would be no I would not turn homosexual, not because of any obligation to God, but because it would feel completely unnatural to me. I find it just as disgusting that two women are sexual together the same as I do two men. Just because many in society say it is OK, means nothing to me, it still seems unnatural. And if homosexuals actually believe that they are born this way, then how does that explain some homosexuals changing their course and reverting to heterosexuality? Now, don't assume that I hate homosexuals, my husband and I are actually great friends with 2 that were former neighbors, and even when we moved to a different state, we still remain friends. The common denominator is, that we don't discuss our behind closed door business with them, and likewise they do not share theirs. There are many "sins" against God, and we are all guilty of committing at least one of them, for no one alive is perfect.

If God said to do it, of course, I would, but most heterosexuals can't stop fornicating. If they do enough group sex, they'll mess with the opposite sex anyway. Sex perversion is sex perversion.
I have 2 daughters and was divorced at age 29 and never remarried. I believed God when He said do not commit adultery. I sinned with sex partners and always felt guilty. I repented and refrained from sex. Herpes and AIDS came along and I became celibate because I didn't want to die or a disease I couldn't get rid of. Also I knew if I continued disobeying God that God could turn me over to a depraved mind. I also knew that the continual asking for forgiveness was not the turning from my wicked ways that God wanted.
My heart goes out to you. It is tough trying to live by God's rules, but if you trust the Holy Spirit, He will deliver you from sinning. We come as we are to the Lord and we let the Lord help us to get the sin out of our lives. And what He starts in us He is more than able to finish.

Fortunately Ive read the bible and I know that would never happen. A person would need deliverance in order to change from that life style. Ive known one who has and is a happily married husband and dad, he said he couldn't have changed without Gods help.

In the Christian/Muslim fantasy world, everyone & everything must fall in line with their thinking. They'll dismiss logic every time if conflicts with their fantasies. I agree it's a good question and it's a shame the religious nuts can't open their eyes to reality long enough to consider it as a possibility. Of course, then they might actually have to admit just how 'unchristian' like they've treated gay people.

Why do Christians say homosexuality is always a 'choice' for people......its been studied and proven it is not always a 'choice' but many times an inherited chemical genetic result at birth.
I've seen too many homosexuals that would have no reason to 'choose' to be gay', but do because of strong feelings they've always felt since birth

Alright, serious answer then. If I knew that's what God commanded me to do, then I wouldn't hesitate to do it. It wouldn't be easy, but not many things worth doing ever are. I seriously doubt I could ever change the fact that I'm attracted to girls, but that's not really the point. The person I have sex with is up to me, whether I feel attracted to them or not. God doesn't issue commands that are impossible to fulfill.

I don't think you "become" gay. Like you wake up and decide to be gay or anything... But I have absolutely no attraction towards females so I wouldn't change anything. I like having a man who's strong and bigger than me. A woman couldn't fill that for me...

One would not conflict over the other.
However, I doubt you will find any notion that homosexuality is mandated in the Bible, because God is very clear about His stance upon it.
Besides, once you are married, God would never command someone to violate the marriage covenant, regardless.
So no. I would not.
