the bible doesnt mention that we are the only life in the universe...

like a cook, she doesnt have to tell you all her previous and future preparations even if she told you of this current one. i hope you get what i mean.

I call myself christian but not the church going type, more the gnostic type.
Anyway- I think we would have to be very arogant to think that our planet is the only one with life. I also believe in the spiritual world.... so maybe the life out there is on a different plane/dimension than we are...

Since the universe is so large I'd be very surprised if there isn't live someplace else, intelligent or not. When I think about it I find it totally amazing that God would be concerned about something as small as a person on this planet in this vast universe. And yet, He knows us all individually and loves us. Wow. Christian, nondenominational

It is really selfish/self centered to think that with all that is unexplored in the universe, that we are the only "intelligent" life.
I balance that with my Luthern religion by thinking that why would God only create 1 earth? An all powerful/all knowing being wouldn't be satisfied with one little speck of dust in the universe.

I'm a Christian and although the Bible does not talk about that, I really doubt that God created life elsewhere. I'm open to the idea but I know we won't find anything.

"Intelligence" is open to a lot of interpretation in its meaning. But given the strange evolutionary journey that resulted in the appearance of H. sapiens on Earth I believe that, while the Universe may harbor life on many other planetary systems, the closest species having a human-like intelligence that exists is right here on Earth, with our cousin, the chimpanzee.

My religion: none.

The universe is so immense that it would seem ridiculous to suggest there is no other intelligent life.

I would imagine though that it will be many centuries, or even millennia, before we encounter an extraterrestrial intelligent species.

It would not surprise me at all if there were intelligent life elsewhere. It would surprise me considerably if we were ever able to have contact with such -- the distances are too vast. (I'm an atheist.)

We don't have a lot of intelligent life here but I am sure life exists elsewhere in the universe. I have my own religion.

Since we are just truly an accumulation of memories, it's logical to assume there's intelligent life elsewhere also. I'm sure we'll find it at the quantum level.

I'm a mystic.

I cannot imagine that vast waste of space. I am Catholic, and I really believe that there is life all around us. Sometimes, when I'm playing trains with my grandson, age 5, and we are putting tracks out, people out, trains out.............I imagine God putting humans on THIS planet, and other life forms on other planets....................not really a game, not really just an experiment, but, a natural use of space and ideas.
