is it possible the rapture already happened and we didn't even realize it. i've been told by a friend that some of the writing in scripture is symbolic in referring to countries where the use of animals that are symbolic a particular country are used, i.e. eagle for u.s. so i've derived from this that the rapture has already occured. "how?" you ask. well, as my christian brothers and sisters pointed out to me revelations speaks of his return in the following way:
"BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him."
it goes on to say that he will bring with him an army of horses.
many have theorized this glorious even would take place at or near the turn of the millenium. i'm going on record to say and i'm gonna be the first to say it, i know this already happened. i got two words for you 1997 superbowl. you're probably asking how this ties to revelations. (con't.)

el is spanish for the word the. hence, el way means "the way". jesus is often quoted as saying he is "the way".

the broncos won in 1997, three years before the turn of the millenium. however, there is much debate over when the exact year of jesus' birth actually was, and some say it could be off by as much as 3 years or more.

the children disappeared in the sense that when the superbowl is on, the dad's and some mom's don't pay much attention to anything else. hence their disappearance is metaphorical.

IF theres going to be a rapture or it has already happened, I doubt it would be in the form of a team winning the superbowl. Funny though!

It is going both strategies. My husband became raised by using an apathetic atheist, and became easily an atheist himself for lots of his existence. He attended a Pentacostal church for a couple of minutes at the same time as he became youthful, in spite of the indisputable fact that it only wasn't his element. he's now a non-non secular theist. I, on the different hand, became raised in a Christian homestead. I became a skeptic at the same time as i became about 5, and fully atheist at the same time as i became 13. I had MANY causes for transforming into an atheist. My significant issue became that the total Bible only regarded like a fairy tale to me. I kept my ideas open, though, and kept searching. lengthy tale short, I became a Christian fantastically a lot 9 months in the past. maximum individuals that develop into atheists after passing it gradual as a Christian accomplish that proper around the age of fourteen or fifteen. some do develop into atheists later in existence, in spite of the indisputable fact that that is uncommon. It only easily relies upon on the fellow. It is going both strategies.

No the rapture has not yet happened. When it does it will throw the world into chaos. You will know when it actually does happen, there is no doubt about that.

Addressing Atheists with this question seems pointless to me. As an atheist, I think that all religious texts are written by humans who made it all up, and all sorts of prophecy is nonsense.
