no not a Good idea. a veterinary licensed 'anthelmintic' (wormer) and ear mite treatment is best. these are ensured to work and can be monitored by veterinary professionals.
damage can be done to the ear canal with the introduction of home remedies which can have short or permanent serious consequences and the same seriousness is seen in home remedies for worming.
do not give anything other than is safe for use in animals.
hope this helps.

No there are not - at least, not if you want to actually get rid of/prevent mites and worms.
Go to a vet and get the proper treatment please. Many people on here claim to have had success with 'home remedies' - maybe it's true I don't know, there are always exceptions to the rule. But I do know it's a huge waste of time to try - in the odd case where home remedies do seem to have worked, I can only say 'that was a bit of luck' or, how do you know it actually worked (people often don't realise their pets have fleas for instance, they just don't know the signs to look for - believe me I see it every day where people are mistakenly believing some cruddy petshop treatment is doing the trick).
You'll get 100% success with the proper veterinary treatment, and you don't risk harming your cats. In which case, why bother trying anything else!

There are none. You need to bring your cat to the vet for proper medication. Many so called "home remedies" do far more harm than good, while others just plain don't work.
If you're worried about cost, see if you can set up a payment plan with your vet. However, parasite medications typically aren't too expensive. I know that when I adopted my male cat from a shelter, he came with ear mites. The med given by my vet was called Acarexx, was one dose, and wasn't costly at all.

there are over the counter ear mite remedies, but i'm not sure how well they work. you could call your vet and ask them what they'd recommend....
ear mites tend to come back if not treated properly.
some of the products sold to treat worms and other parasites in cats over the counter aren't really safe, in fact, i heard a few years ago where one brand was killing the animals or making them very ill.
take care of your pet and get it to the vet.

There are, but Eradimite and worm treatments proven to work are so cheap that it's not worth fooling with it. See the vet.

In other words you are too cheap to take your cat to a vet or spend money on medication so you want us to tell you to use cooking spray or something like that.
Well people like you should not own pets if you are not prepared to provide medical care for them.
