He wants to cut off someones balls...? Gosh... What would that be called... gonadacide?

I don't think that's a very Christian occupation to aspire to.

atheists do not believe that everything came from nothing. the fact is atheism makes no claim as to how the universe began. it simply says that there is no reason to think that a god did it. the funny thing is, christians think the universe came from nothing. think about it, if i create a table, i don't wish it into existence i have to build it out of material that already exists. but apparently god can create ex nihilo. so by their own definition we did come from nothing. so anyway, the origin of the universe, the cause of the big bang itself. btw the big bang is a fact, we know that it happened, we're not entirely sure why. i can answer this a bit because i'm a physicist, but this is not relevant to my atheism. the first thing that one needs to appreciate is that you will not get nice easy details here. this is the problem we run into when dealing with high energy physics. at the scale of the quantum or the cosmological things just work differently. it is extremely counter intuitive and a lot of the time there are no words in human language to describe what is actually happening. it's a world of gruesome looking math. it works, quantum mechanics makes predictions so accurate it will make you cross eyed, but we can't describe it in human language because the rules of the quantum world, do not apply in our world and vice versa. we don't know how the universe began exactly, but we do know some things. for example in quantum physics you really can get something from nothing. it's a consequence of the uncertainty principle little bits of energy are created literally out of nothing, but they exist for such a brief instant that it doesn't violate the 1st law. second, cause and effect does not apply here. the mechanism that causes radioactive decay works this way. you can have an effect without a cause, things can just happen spontaneously. so some ideas run along these lines, that some kind of quantum event created the singularity. a zero volume point that contained all of time and space and expanded from there. i know it's not a very satisfying answer, but a lot of this is still theoretical and like i said it defies everyday language and common sense. even i don't understand it half the time. anyway i hope that helps

I am a christian and do not believe Jesus was a delusional fool. I have never heard anything about him wanting to cut off anybody's balls. Not sure where you got that from. I don't threaten anybody. I just feel that I believe in God, I pray to him for strength or help or for forgiveness and that is my relationship with God. That's it. I feel that everyone has the right to believe in what they want and that everyone should get along with each other. Anytime a religion primarily teaches hate for others outside of that religion, it's not healthy. The only time I have ever seen "christians" getting bent out of shape is when we have these questions on here which are primarily muslim or islamic based saying americans and christians are garbage or they need to all die or some other horrible comment. I think that's when people get bent out of shape. And anyone would if what was held dear to them was being bashed.

Not everyone is the same. This is one christian that says welcome.

First off I never heard of turning the other check. Secondly, if you mean cheek, you're taking it out of context. Know what you criticize. I laugh at ignorant people who cite scripture (the Christian 101 stuff) that everyone knows of, yet they no not the meaning of it. How can you use scripture against people if you don't even know the meaning, let alone believe it yourself. I don't claim to be an expert on scripture but I do study it. You will never see or hear me beat you over the head with it. The people you see and dispise doing that represent a portion of people claiming to be Christian. Who is claiming to be better than you? I think you're talking out your butt to make noise. I am sure you will find millions who agree with your moronic view. Clearly, you haven't read the Bible with an earnest heart. If you did, you might feel differently by making up your own mind, instead of following the masses. "Cut of the balls?" What are you reading? As far as all the science the "proves" the Bible wrong, just more ignorance. You have to consider translations from different languages, you must consider the time it was written, what was going on with the politics of the time, phrases used, and every other condition. There are ways of finding this through historical records. If you still choose not to look into it for yourself...that's your decision, live with it. Who is cutting off your balls? I don't think I'm better than you. I can't think of a worse person than myself. I have 3 degrees. all in science. Including a masters in molecular biology. I don't say that to brag, only to show that with all the "science" out there, I am one who researches the facts that many take as proof. Nothing in DNA or timelines or natural laws clash with scripture. If you think it does than you are missing something from one side or the other. I also don't claim to have an answer for everything. However, I do have answers for many things that were considered "proof" against the Bible. Still. I won't brow beat you. I'll discuss if someone wants to listen. Your point is void. If you don't have eyes to see or ears to hear, I feel sorry for you. You can change that with time, patience and a sincere heart. As far as slapping my cheek? I beg you to. You'll find just how much you misunderstood that one. Feel free to e-mail me.

Show me where that Jesus said that ? . You are always welcome. The problem with most people who call themselves
Christian's don't even know that they are not . For they are
blind and can not see . Your right for getting up set when you hear someone who miss represents our Lord Jesus . I
personal am happy to hear that you are upset , this means
that deep down you care and have the truth in you.So whats
your excuse , what differences are you making in this life.
You need to plug in to a good born again christian church.
Also you must be care full of false religions . Check their
missions , involvements and so forth . Remember not every
body is saved . God is waiting for you to come to Him ,
Only then He will forgive you and fill your cup overflowing.
You will be in awe when you decide to have a relationship with God .Then you have a wonderful life that never ends....

Harvard may of been a Christian school at one time, but you couldn't prove it anymore, and it hasn't been for many years. On the other hand, there are a lot of schools out there that still call "themselves" a Christian school but are not. If you can't pick up the Bible and from the Bible alone prove it's a Christian school, it's just another state run school.

He probably didn't mean all non-believers, just you because of your ignorant question. And most of the most annoying people on this site are rabid atheists and trolls like you. You sprout ridiculous, insulting comments, then are confused when people get angry. I realize common sense isn't a God-given gift, but good grief, can't you figure out how to use a little bit of it?

If he's backing up his belief with that kind of statement, he's proving what non-believers have been saying for a long time. But why he's advertising his ignorance, gets by me.
