Sounds llike a good idea, but not for the reason you're suggesting. Where I live, gasoline is still less than $3/gal and pollution is a real problem. The more expensive gasoline gets, the more people will be concious of how much they use. Besides, I don't know why Americans complain about high gas prices. It's still less than anywhere else in the world.

I paid $3.27 today. I used to fill up with 20 dollars... now its almost $40.

Oh and I heard on the radio today that they did a study on gasoline pumps and it turns out we don't pay by the gallon of liquid sometimes. I think when you try to top off you are only getting fumes (I know cars run off of fumes). They are supposed to store that gas at a certain temperature but on hot Southern California days the gasoline vaporizes but the pump still charges you!

The monetary device is too fragile to face up to $5.00 gasoline. by using the time it hits $4.00 call for will drop off because no you may nonetheless have the funds for it and the completed monetary device will crash lower back. If the truck drivers won't be able to have the funds for diesel for his or her automobiles, no nutrition receives delivered. expenses for each thing bypass up and everybody suffers. i imagine the spike in gasoline expenses in 2008 had better to do with the monetary give way than the housing bubble.
