Go to freefilealliance.com. If you qualify, you can file your federal extension for free through one of the programs. If you owe taxes, you still have to send in estimated payment by April 17 or the IRS will charge you penalties and interest on the amount you owe. If you end up paying them too much, it will be refunded and if you still owe more, you will only be charged interest on the difference.
I don't know what state you are in, so go to your state tax website. It should give you info on how to do an extension for your state taxes because you can't file state until your federal taxes are done.
