The Bible does not directly address any form of illicit drug use. There are no express prohibitions against cocaine, heroin, ecstasy (MDMA), or methamphetamines (Meth). There is no mention of marijuana, peyote, magic mushrooms, or acid (LSD). Nothing is said about huffing, snorting, dropping, smoking, shooting, licking, or any other method of ingestion. This is not to say, however, that recreational drug use is permissible.
We are under a universal mandate to respect and obey the laws of the land (Deuteronomy 17:2; Ecclesiastes 8:2-5; Matthew 22:21; 23:2-3; Romans 13:1-7; Titus 3:1; 1 Peter 2:13-17; 2 Peter 2:9-11). The ONLY instance in which we are allowed to disobey the laws of the land is when the laws violate any divine imperatives (Daniel 3 and 6; Acts 5:29). There are no other exceptions to this rule. Contrary to popular belief, simply disagreeing with a law does not constitute a license for breaking that law.

DRUGS ARE A SIN!!!!!
Galatians 5:20 "Sorcery/witchcraft, is from the Greek word "Pharmakia" the same word we get "pharmacy" from. It means the general illicit use of drugs (same application as today) and the use of drugs to cast spells etc.
Who are the two drug dealers of the Bible? Elymas and Simon: Acts 13:6 and Acts 8:9
Notice this is illustrative of what Gal. 5:20 condemns. These men, called sorcerers, magicians, witchcraft.
Harper's Bible Dictionary says: "On the lowest level were the "Imposter" (2 Tim. 3:13) who played their tricks as do circus magicians today. Between these were the sorcerers, enchanters, and charmers who could cast spells and knew how to use herbs, potions, and drugs."
So like a witch that stirs her pot of brew, Elymas and Simon took their bottle of potion and gave it to someone (drug dealer). Simon would give hallucinogen drugs like THC (cannabis) Psylocibin or Cybelcyblin (magic mushroom) Cocaine, Heroin (poppy plant) to someone, wait a few minutes then as the drug starts to set in, start waving their hands around giving the impression that their power is causing all the pink elephants to fly, etc.
Today, is not different - just worse. More people misuse drugs. Legal drugs are abused by the majority of people.
Jesus was offered a mop of gall on the cross and refused it.
Matthew 27:34 A strong narcotic drink was offered to those condemned to execution.
DRUGS ARE A SIN. Very few drugs are used correctly. Some are absolutely necessary to keep people from dying, but these are necessary drugs. Jesus created our bodies to heal and cure themselves. Most drugs do not cure, but only prolong life and stop pain temporarily.
If we only realized that GOOD THINKING COULD PREVENT DISEASE and follow the Word of God none of these diseases or afflictions would be put on us.

I guess, that depends on who you ask. I think it depends on the person. If the drug that you are doing causes you to get emotional, and do something crazy like hurting other people, yes. That doesn't mean that that drug is a horrible thing, because maybe someone else takes to keep their negative emotions at bay, otherwise they become violent. Everyone is different. Everyone has a different brain. Every drug has a different psychological effect on every individual.
It is about finding what is right for you.

The Bible does not address every ethical situation. Silence on a specific topic doesn't mean it is advocating it. But it gives us principles that we use to apply to those various situations and issues. If there is an issue that is addressed in one area of scripture we take that principal and apply it to another area in our lives. Drug abuse, for example, is self-destructive. Since the Bible tells us that our bodies are the temples of God, we know that the misuse of what God has given us in drug abuse is, therefore, wrong since it harms the body. Since the Bible does not openly condemn drug abuse, we don't have to worry about whether or not it is or is not permissible since we know that the principal of being responsible for our own bodies and honoring God means that we are not to abuse drugs.

Drugs aren't a sin. Drug abuse could be considered a sin, if you have a religion that believes in the concept of sin.
In my religion, abuse of substances constitutes harm to self, and is frowned upon.

In what religion?
In the big ones, Christianity, Juddaism, Islam, etc it is not a directly addressed sin but one that violates the body, and it is considered sinful to defile your body intentionally in any way (i.e. promiscuous sex, eating certain foods like pork in some cases, self-mutilation, etc.)

I don't know. Honestly, I don't care. (It's your life, and your body). I don't advise taking drugs, unless prescribed by a doctor.
