As long as it's in moderation, I don't see how it can be.

Yeah, I'm with you on the wine thing. I usually like to go out to dinner with someone when we first meet and that and I usually will have a glass of wine with dinner. I think there's like a progression you know. Wine is kinda a dinner thing, and then after the first date or so you go out together to play some pool or darts or something then you drink beer and/or hard liquor with each other.

What God commands Christians regarding alcohol is to avoid drunkenness (Ephesians 5:18). The Bible condemns drunkenness and its effects (Proverbs 23:29-35). Christians are also commanded to not allow their bodies to be “mastered” by anything (1 Corinthians 6:12; 2 Peter 2:19). Drinking alcohol in excess is undeniably addictive. Scripture also forbids a Christian from doing anything that might offend other Christians or might encourage them to sin against their conscience (1 Corinthians 8:9-13).
Alcohol, consumed in small quantities, is neither harmful or addictive. In fact, some doctors advocate drinking small amounts of red wine for its health benefits, especially for the heart. Consumption of small quantities of alcohol is a matter of Christian freedom. Drunkenness and addiction are sin.

Not in my city. We're loaded with churches, bars, and liquor stores. There are tons of wine in the supermarkets. The drunk Christians tend to get up and come in on Sunday mornings at eleven to replace their stock. On Easter Sunday, we had one register open just for ringing up beer and wine.

To the point of getting into brawls and blacking out and waking up in a strange bed, hell yes. A couple of beers or glasses of wine is A-OK!

Jesus first miracle was turning water into wine at the wedding at Cana. Cannot imagine Jesus doing that if it was a sin. Moderation is the key.

No. Getting drunk is. The Bible says drink a 'little' wine for your frequent cases of sickness.

Paul told Timothy to drink a little wine to ease his stomach pains.
It is not a sin to drink, but it is a sin to get drunk.

No and neither is getting drunk. All the disciples were souced at the last supper.

Wine is blood of the sacrificial lamb and Jesus asked us to remember him by it.

Or does one foresake Jesus and defy his reasonable last request, his death bed wishes.
