You can always tell they have been using something to whiten their teeth and their teeth have an almost purplish color to them!

The grayish is usually caused by some kind medicine, like too much Penicillin. Happened to my niece when she was little and had Pneumonia 3 times, she had to take so much antibiotics that her teeth turned colors

Hi, actuallly it is not the whitening process which causes the teeth to gray but those people get teeth whitened because of the gray stain.
this gray stain is usually due to antibiotics or heavy medicines given during the first few years of life for serious infections. the broken down molecules of such medicines go into the blood from where they are absorbed by the cells making up the teeth and they get deposited into the tooth structure as an internal stain.
All whitenening procedures have a limited duration of effect after which the grayish tone returns.

I ues a whitener for my teeth and they are white.My friend on the other hand has a pink cast to his and he uses the same thing.I assumed it was his pigmentation since he has red hair.As far as having a gray tint to a persons teeth i have never seen that yet
