I made arroz con gandules (pidgeon peas) and I fell asleep and did not put in the fridge last night.. and I slept with the heat on. Is my rice still safe to eat today??? And how many more days can I eat it for, before it goes bad because I have like 8 servings left? Help.

Ahh, I've done that too. But really, throw it out. Rice/grains get bacillus cereus. And really quickly too. So even 4 hours out it'll start growing. Be safe and just toss it.

No I am afraid that it is not safe to eat rice is one of the biggest culprits of food poisoning. You should only keep left over rice for a day in the fridge and reheat once or it has to be thrown away.

Leaving a pot of rice with mixture of peas on the stove overnight is not good to eat for the following day. If you do you could have cramps, vomiting, diarraha, it's best to toss.

My first instinct is to say no. It's a good bet if it was heated and had meat in it, then left sit out all night it has gathered some bacteria. I would toss it out and be more careful from now on to put it away.

First thing is to smell it if it smells at all sour discard it however if it smells ok take a small portion and heat it in microwave or in pan and taste it , If it tastes ok then use it. As far as to how long it will keep if it is still good now portion it to plastic bags and freeze it that will give you much more time to use it, As always also smell and taste before serving it .

You may eat that food for the next two or three days, no problem, it will stay good out of the fridge that long. However, if it starts to smell like alcohol or sour discard it, bacteria and mold have begun to colonize it.

Yes
no problem. People are fridge crazy now. Most things will last a while out. Infact things should be cold before putting them in

I dont eat anything thats left out overnight.

Saving a few pennies, or even a few dollars worth of food is NEVER better than a day or two of sickness.

If there is any question about it through it out. Had food poisoning before. No fun. Thank you McDonald's for that experience.
