Islam was much more tolerant at the height of its position within the world. Now that it is in the dung heap of modern society,and the mulsim countries at the poorest and the least developed, it does not have the luxury of being magnanious. Jealousy and hatred are the attitudes developed during these desperate and culturally backward times. I am sure that everyone has noticed that mulsims who live in more advanced countries tend to have reasonable attitudes, rather than the desperate projection of self hatred that we see from the majority of muslims, or at least those who promote the random killing of innocent people whenever someone claims that islam is full of terrorists.

Muslims are not intolerant of other religions, however I can't speak for all.
It is a shame if some Muslims are intolerant. This type of behavior would have been frowned upon by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
[2:62 & 5:69] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

The average Muslim is no more intolerant of other religions than is the average christian. Extremes of both religions are dangerous people.

It's only the radical extremist Muslims who are brainwashed by even more radical extremist Muslims who are intolerant of other religions.
However, Islam teaches peace and tolerance towards all.

You forgot the 'some' not all muslims are intolerant, i think the majority are not.
