Good fight. I feel that this one would be a a fairly entertaining bout. Mayweather would have the edge in speed, defense, chin, and stamina. Hatton would have the edge in power and heart.
Early on, Hatton will dictate the pace of the fight and will likely overpower Floyd with his arsenal of punches. I feel that he takes most of the early rounds. The middle rounds will be different. Floyd will use his speed and start moving more around the ring. He will frustrate Hatton and do what he did to Baldomir and Judah. Floyd will use his lightning-quick speed to puzzle Hatton. In the later rounds, Hatton will be drained and will not be very active anymore. Floyd will either stop Hatton late or win by unanimous decision.

Styles make fights, I think Oscar De La Hoya can beat Floyd by a small margin, however, Ricky Hatton is much more aggressive, goes for broke and has a battle tested chin. He applies relentless pressure that Mayweather cant run 12 rounds from. Hatton by unanimous decision based upon Floyd's punches being smothered and him getting frustrated. I dont see this fight happening because I think Castillo will beat Hatton and then Floyd making the excuse that Hatton lost to Castillo and that he (floyd) beat castillo. Floyd doesn't fight for the fans.

This fight is a Unaminous Decision hands down. Hatton is a slow starter, and Mayweather will pick Hatton apart for twelve rounds. Just take a look at Hatton's last two fights that will tell you alot about Hatton. But this fight will never happen...

Jose L. styles make fights but please. Floyd fights whoever he has to for the most money and to go down in history as the best ever. They dont always go hand in hand. He has come up in weight now 4 times so don't say he doesn't fight for the fans. He always puts on artistic performances and if you know anything about boxing winning is the name of the game. This isn't UFC. Floyd is much faster, younger, and a more talented boxer than Oscar and no matter their ages, Floyd would always win just because he has the speed and style to always frustrate fighters like DLH. Dont expect it to go 12 either. Oscar will take lots of punishment enroute to getting stopped late. Floyd always rises to the occasion and May 5th will be no exception. Remember Genaro Hernandez, Manfredy, Gatti, Chavez, C. Hernandez, Mitchell, N'Dou, Castillo, Judah, Baldomir, Corrales, Corley, and Vargas. ALL world class and past or present world champions. Floyd outclassed them all. Get over your delusions. Oscar may be great because he fights everyone who can make him money but he doesnt always win (he sometimes even wins when he shouldnt!). Floyd would spank Hatton and stop him late with Ricky's face looking like Rocky after fighting Ivan Drago in Rocky IV.

Mayweather Does not Run... If you paid attention to the De La Hoya fight you'll see DLH did nothing other than try to bum rush Mayweather with Flurries of Wild Punches. You either back up or stand there and get hit, and he backed up and even when he was against the ropes he kept his head guarded so DLH (Who was punching with his head down and wasn't even looking at where he was punching-Watch) was only hitting shoulders and gloves... Mayweather has had less power than most of his opponents, Has been swarmed by punches and has yet to be susceptible to their punishment... Hatton has never fought anyone with Floyd's speed or Defense and if he tries to bully Mayweather like he did Castillo or Kosta He'll be busted up badly, and the fight will either be stopped early or Mayweather will dance to an easy unanimous decision...

Floyd Mayweather would beat Ricky Hatton with ease, it would be a Gotti like domination. In fact, I think Gotti would beat Hatton.

Hatton had a lot of problems with Luis Collazo. I cant imagine him having LESS problems trying to pin down Mayweather. I'll have to go with Floyd.
