Persecution. We must endure persecution from others, for Jesus' sake. Persecution is inevitable for following Christ, but by standing up and not reacting to it we will be saved. Just face persecution in the same way Jesus did. with welcome arms and love, for those against him.

The simplest explanation is that endurance is the hallmark of the genuinely saved. Those who endure to the end in times of persecution show by their perseverance that they are true believers. Therefore, the Christian life is likened to a soldier and we are to "endure" to the end like a soldier fighting to win the battle.

Endurance is a nature of soul. Many follow Jesus ignorantly and they will hate you if you do not join them in physical conduct as they believe Jesus physically but their devotion is not firm. Who realize soul, will realize God in the end and thus will be saved.

Jesus is saying that anyone who stands firm on his conviction and dedication to God in the name of Jesus, even during persecution of all kinds, until the end of his life will be saved from that persecution by entering heaven and the presence of God and Jesus.

"Being hated by all for his name's sake".

Jesus knew that his followers (more often through their own misactions then because of their doctrines) would be subject to persecution, discrimination, hatred, slander, etc. That many people would be offended by the attacks, and turn back from their Christian faith. So he warned that you have to "endure" or stick with your faith all the way to be saved.

Nothing can be done.

First, those weren't Jesus' words, they were Matthew's words (or someone writing in his name as was commonly done in those days). Jesus, if he existed, died decades before that was written.

Secondly, nobody is saved. When we die, we're just dead. There is nothing you can do to prevent that, except try not to die. So far, nobody has been successful at that.
