My vicar told me that the phrase 'life is like a box of chocolates' comes from the Bible. Which page is it on?

(I know there are many different bible editions - that last bit about the page was just me being a fool.)

Reverend Red Mage: slight problem: the Bible wasn't printed with moveable type until the mid 1450s. Shouldn't a Rev know this little fact????????????? 13th century indeed!

Reverend, as arf correctly says, the Bible wasn't printed with moveable type until 1455. Get your facts right when preaching! And arf, don't be a fool. Funny question!

The word "chocolate" is not in the bible. Your vicar must be quoting something else; this is why he didn't give you a reference (book/chapter/verse).
There is a saying: If you give a person a fish, he eats one day; if you teach the person to fish, he eats every day. If you want to find a verse, you can use a concordance. In my case, I used the NIV Complete Concordance: The word "chocolate" is not found.
Answer: Go fish.

Never! You're joking!!! Not to mention the fact that no Bible goes by page... Pick one up and read it for yourself. That's the best thing you can do... Men, especially "vicars" and "priests" lie a lot but God, the true God, cannot lie!

The phrase is not in the Bible. It comes from "Forrest Gump". Watch the movie with Ton Hanks. It is the opening line.

Life is like a box of chocolates.
Very expensive for what you get.
Never lasts long enough.
Enjoyed more by others than you.
That's what momma said.

Yeah....You know chocolate only grows in the Americas naturally. No one in the Bible would have known about it.
