Islam has two meanings; general and linguistic. Islam in general refers to the way of life which God sent His Prophets to teach mankind: The worship of God alone (Monotheism) and the avoidance of Paganism while submitting to God's will in gratitude for being given life and innumerable blessings. This explains why, in the Qur'an, all Prophets call themselves Muslims (submitters to the will of God). I don't think anybody would rationally claim that God sent different religions as this would cause confusion and would ultimately lead to social conflict. God clearly states in the Qur'an that he has been enjoining Islam upon mankind since Adam and Eve. This way of life -Islam- consists of worshiping God alone and submitting to His will.

A proof of the universality of Islam as opposed to other religions is in the very name "Islam". For example the word "Christianity" this entails those who follow Christ (pbuh). But what about all those people who lived and died before Christ. So the name is not suitable for everyone. The name "Judaism" this word entails those of the tribe of Judah. If we look at this faith we see that because of its name people other than those whose roots are traced to this tribe are excluded, thus being labeled gentiles. If you take the name of any religion you will find the same dilemma except Islam which means "Submission to God" which is suitable for all people at all times.

Based on its linguistic origin, the Arabic word 'Islam' comes from a root s-l-m meaning to achieve peace. On the other hand, the word "Islam" means submission and obedience. The word as explained by the revelation received by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) means to submit our will to the One Almighty God in order to achieve absolute peace.

All creations are Muslim. Does the Sun and Moon not have a system given to them by God? If they disobeyed this system then we would have crashed into the moon or drifted from the sun and froze. Even our bodies are following an exact system. What if our heart stopped beating or our bladder stopped working?

Every atom in this universe is submitting to the system given to it by its creator. The only choices that go on in the universe are in the actions of mankind. We can submit to God or not and that is the test of life.

Over a billion people from all races, nationalities, and cultures across the globe are Muslim. From the snowy landscapes of Russia to the deserts in the heart of Africa; from the skyscrapers of Los Angeles to the tribal huts of Indonesia. Only 18% of Muslims live in the Arab world; a fifth is found in Sub-Saharan Africa; and the world's largest Muslim community is in Indonesia. Substantial parts of Asia are Muslim, while significant minorities are to be found in the Central Asian republics, India, China, North and South America, Eastern and Western Europe

I am studying Islam, my husband is Muslim and we live in his native country. I know enough about Islam to realize that most people who post anti-Islamic nonsense here know nothing more than what they see on hate sites or the television. Islam has been very liberating for me, it finally puts a name on the beliefs I have always have and it is logical. I am sorry for the hatred and ignorance you will find here, especially from my clone. He takes great pleasure in using my good name to spread his filthy hatred.

whats with that persecution difficult? i often step in generally quite simply since there aren't any voices in aid of islam in that specified component of the web, that stated, islam has many violent adherants and to absolve accountability of the countless numbers of humans motivated through islam to soak up violence is really susceptible. if the reality suffered, cancerous youngsters have got to recognise the whole thing. 911 isnt the one assault thats been perpetuated lately.

its liberated me. 100% monotheistic, belief in one God without partner. Islam is peace, Muslims great each other by saying salamalikum which means peace to you. Islam is enjoying phenomenal growth just now across the planet. its book Qur'an has never been altered, edited, or revised, still in its original form. Qur'an has a clever built in security feature, its easy to memorize, meaning millions have it memorized, making it impossible to change it by one letter or word.
