I have a frightening thing happening. While I was away this weekend, a friend looked after my house,cats,dog+quail for me.My back garden is fairly secure, but front garden is open to all and sundry - no way of making that any more secure.I have badgers in my garden (I live on the edge of a town) up to 5 of them sometimes.
While I was away my friend told me he was awakened by the badgers banging on the walls (they can access 2 walls) of my bungalow. Then one of the badgers in the front garden hurled itself through the air and shouldered my front window with a very big resounding noise (the window is above waist level and is big).
I didnt really believe him, I thought he may have been half asleep.
Well I was wide awake last night - I hadnt even gone to bed - badgers were in my front garden and one of them propelled himself through the air and shouldered my window. The window reverbrated, I thought it was going to break. Then it did it again and again.
Why?
What can I do?

Ok, this is the United Kingdom - you are not allowed to shoot badgers - they are protected! (But not me me!)
I didnt know badgers could leap through the air either - this one must have been watching "Heroes". or reading Marvel or DC comics.
But seriously it is frightening.
The badgers used to dig under the wall into my back garden and attack my little dog. I was demented for a time, and then someone told me to put chicken wire down cos they dont like that, so all the ways round my walls is chicken wire so they cant dig through to my back garden. Their little paws dont like the feel of chicken wire. I was building big barricades before the easy answer of the chicken wire, but badgers are strong and can dig up any amount of boulders I put down.

sorry but i don't actually know, i just wanted to say that this sounds really strange! i didn't know badgers could jump!

You should call animal control and have them come and trap these creatures. they are dangerous and the one jumping and hitting your window is seeing it's reflection and thinks it is a threat--bang bam!! If they won't come and trap them then you need to very quietly get a strong pellet gun and shoot them--they can hurt you as bad as a pit bull.
