I would also recommend trying a cup of warm milk if you aren't allergic to milk. I found that very helpful to me when it came to sleep.

Lavendar works like a charm.. so if you have lavendar bubble bath soak in the tub for a few minutes...lavendar oil works well in bath also. Or try some lavendar inscense. You can also try to meditate... start by laying down in bed, flex your toes and relax them.. say good night to the toes...then the ankles.. work your way up the body to relax. As other thoughts enter your mind, acknowledge them and quickly put them aside. Think of a happy place for you to be..some place relaxing and safe. Chamomile tea is also useful for relaxation. I hope this helps you.

Hi, you could try a hop pillow to sleep on
Hop Pillow
Hops are well known for their sleep-inducing properties, which come from a substance called lupulin. You can add other relaxing herbs to the hops.
2 or 3 handfuls of dried hop flowers
Additional herbs
Muslin
Make a muslin bag to fit inside a small pillowcase and fill it loosely, so
that it lies flat beside your regular pillow. With the hops you can include
dried lime flowers, dried, crumbled marjoram, and lemon balm.

Well i think not getting asleep is due to full mind ,with problems or fears or worry about something . so best is find a reliefing transient solution to your problems or putting a plan in your mind to solve them tomorrow and then drink a glass of worm milk or hot chocolate and go to sleep. Feeling that you solved or problems and arranged your stuff makes you calm and gets you to sleep.

I know its a bit cliche, but drink a glass of warm milk. Calcium helps you relax better, making it easier for you to fall asleep. If that doesnt work, try reading a book as well till you feel sleepy..

When i want to go to sleep i will drink hot tea. Hot tea is way better then milk, I just don't like the taste of it. Go to the store and you'll find tea that makes you fall asleep. All you have to do is prepare it when your about to go to bed. (Tea also gives a good source of all your minerals.)

I usually leave on the TV and set the timer for 30 minutes. You'll only listen the sounds from the TV and don't think of anything else. That works well for me.

warm drink such as milk and honey. put some quiet relaxing music on and just lie there and relax .. let your mind drift off to a fave place .. such as a summer garden or a beach and think about the feelings. like the sun on your skin. sand beneath your feet. .. works for me.
good luck hope you fall asleep soon xxx
