I often get that impulse.

I ask this bluntly, because I wonder seriously: IF I DID, would it hurt others besides "emotionally"?

Why am I now realizing that it's no harm?! Not the train thing, but just injury in general. People have been very safe around me simply because of the government and tight security. Sigh...

It may cause copycat acts, other people to jump in front of the train, once it makes its way into the media. In that way, it would hurt other people.

I would also consider it a huge social problem. I would think the problem is magnified, of a larger scale more than it really is in the world because I personally have witnessed it. I would discuss it with others as to how to best solve the social problem. Most likely, all this discussion would lead nowhere but to create a topic for conversation. But I would have empathy for the victim.

Do you watch Oprah? There was a girl on her show once who jumped in front of a train but the poor girl lived but with dire circumstances. If I remember correctly she lost both legs and i think an arm but she decided living was better so she accepted her life and has moved on.But because of that impulse her life has changed drastically.Believe me when I say that suicide is not the answer.I loved someone once who did it and the only thing it caused was pain for all the people who loved him.Look i know that some people think suicide is their only option but it's not.Talk to the people who love you or to counsellors. And yes it would hurt others in any way if you did something like that so please, please don't do anything so drastic without telling someone how you feel. You have every opportunity to change or try to fix the problem. Please get out of the dark and be happy. The world doesn't suck as much as you think and i'm sure you have loved ones who love you so much. Please take good care and ask for help....i so hope you choose life,i will say a little prayer for you .

You mean like this:
The conductor sees you on the tracks. He pulls the whistle and you don't move. He is forced to pull the breaks hard causing the whole train to fiercely jolt forward. Numerous passengers on the train are thrown from their seats, items are hurled everywhere like projectiles causing unimaginable wounds. And then train leaves the tracks, derailed because of trying to avoid hitting your selfish suicidal action. Some of the cars from train disengage and roll down an embankment into an elementary school playground where there are hundreds of children...

What an idea! How many people do you think would be affected?

it really is a terrible thanks to die and that i keep in mind that because i have considered it. regrettably, those that dedicate suicide this form finally end up hurting many others beside themselves. The practice team is immediately affected as they're compelled to computer screen the inevitable ensue. After that, they're faraway from general artwork responsibilities and drug examined because the twist of destiny is investigated. at the same time as they get decrease back contained in the locomotive, they ought to cope with that lingering memory each and every time they see some different person close to to the song. Its no picnic for the upkeep crews both who've to eliminate the smeared human remains from less than the locomotive. except for the practice team, those that cared for the deceased are also left suffering. maximum circumstances you'll see no more effective than a image on the funeral because that no longer some thing recognizable is left.

It would really mess up the engineer driving the train, and possibly the people in the train -mentally.

And it would make a mess. Possibly give the cleanup crew PTSD.

If you're talking about psychically, its all tied in.

Train accidents usually carry a 5% chance of survival. Worst case you'd survive ans a quadraplegic and be a burden to your family the rest of your life.

You'd ruin the poor train driver's life. He will see your face every time he shuts his eyes and relive the moment. His family will be destroyed, so will his marriage.
Emotionally" can be a living death.
And don't even think about those poor guys who have to pick up the remains. Or the funeral directors. Or your poor mother who would have to live with that, either.

Well if you jumped in front of a train if it were not able to stop SPLAT, your dead. It may very well hurt others emotionally. Like you mom, dad, brothers, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, ect. BUT I think you should get someone to talk to.
