I have just received a violation for giving the answer "h"
The question was "Where is the middle of nowhere"?
How is this against the Community Guidelines?

Because yahoo are stupid. Or, to be a little fairer, yahoo have millions of users, and despite the fact that they claim to investigate reports of abuse, they do not have the time or resources, and just automatically send out a violation notice. This means any answer that is bit lateral or wacky is vulnerable to be reported as 'not a question or answer' by people who can't think up to your level!

Got me. Perhaps it was a mistake? When I started I nearly flagged someone when I was just trying to tick a box. How else can a single letter be offensive?
Unless the asker was so thin skinned that they believed your answer didn't give the question the weight they think it deserved.

Obviously they didn't understand the answer as h is the middle of nowhere. But what other answer could you give? In the middle!!!

LOL. I was given a violation for saying that George Bush and Tony blair were fit to live with pigs..... I dont know why some people took offence to that either.

it's not against the community guidelines, it againts the askers guideline. they are angry that you know the answer and simply reported you. they thought their question is genius.
