Why do 911 conspiracy theorist think the way they do?
I believe their reasoning isn't based on anything out of principle but a desire to believe what they want to believe , driven by strong emotion.
You see.. if you hate George Bush...you will try to find anything you can to convict him. But if there is indisputable evidence that shows he is innocent they immediate point the finger to Dick Cheney... Why? Because they have to convey their dislike on someone...because they cannot force themselves (out of pride) to admit they are wrong. Remember it makes people feel better to point the finger at someone else then point it at themselves.
Even when they are proven wrong by science..they go into a stage of denial. They don't want to admit they are wrong so they continue with their beliefs in order to avoid admitting fault.
(If you were an A$$hole, would you admit it?)
In summary, their beliefs stem from emotion and not reason.
The scary thing is...I don't think they realize it.
