I've noticed that many of the top answers have been bumped off the list. I suspect that Yahoo! is deleting old archived answers and the counts are being retallied. If you were on the list for answering months or years old questions, you've been bumped back to the amateur ranks with me.
(Actually, I was surprised to find my own name in the top 10 lists in the business section, and I know that I don't deserve to be there.)

Just checked in to see what was happening here. Did Y! Answers mess up their system? You should email a complaint on their feedback page or something. This just endangers the credibility of their whole point system. It's just the same as doing away with the whole giving of points and all these crazy levels. You deserve being on the list (after answering so many questions) so it's not right that you be taken away.
I know, I'm addicted to the level system. It's okay for me not to be a top answerer but I just wanted to be able to reach level 5. I know I said I wanted to stop(retire!) but I'm still having withdrawal symptoms. I keep on clicking on Y!A. grrrrr....

Me too, Warrior! I guess Yahoo's just cleaning house and deleted the old Q/A's.
I hope I_Go_Loony's assertion isn't true. That just would be ridiculous given that you are one of the most reasonable, decent and capable answerers here. That's just wrong.

it relies upon in the event that they answer alot of questions alot (or too many) to become a perfect contributor. you need to have maximum of questions t answer "at as quickly as" (i think) with a view to become perfect contributor.
