With a PC?
You need a PC with a web browser, a modem to connect to the telephone line or a LAN port to connect to a router or a cable or DSL modem and of course the necessary cables.
With the modem, you need to dial up your Internet Service Provider, provide your user name and password and they will then electronically connect you to their server. Once connected, open your web browser and you are ready to go.
With the DSL or cable modem, you also need to enter your user name and password so that you get connected. Once connected, open your web browser and you are on your way.

Before you can connect to the Internet and access the World Wide Web, you need to have certain equipment. In brief, you must have a computer (preferably running an up-to-date operating system); a modem and access to a telephone line or a local area network (LAN) that is in turn connected to the Internet; and connection software that will allow you to establish an account with a service provider and access the Internet. Here is a internet tutorial on how to connect to internet http://www.centerspan.org/tutorial/connect.htm

Ok, here ya go.. Ready for this?
First you need to open up your computer case. Make sure its still on. Now in the middle of the case you should see a big thing with a fan on it. Now carefully remove the 4 screws holding the fan on. Don't worry, if you get cut by the fan (they can be pretty aggressive) it'll heal. Now, put it over to the side, and the grab that big thing that the fan was on and yank it out really quick! If it doesn't come out the first time, keep pulling! Thats the thing that stops computers from connecting to the internet. Good, now that youve done that and succeeded... you're apparently not going to be asking any more stupid questions.
Good day!

Well, look in your local Yellow Pages or newspapers, for Internet Service Providers.
Then just call them up.
If your problem is that you HAVE an ISP, but you can't connect, then phone their customer service line during normal business hours. They can walk you through the process of getting back online over the phone.

First pick up the Mouse, that little thingy with the long tail, and say Computer On. If that does not work, tell it you will use force. IF that does not work, take a Sledge Hammer and threaten it. IF it will still not turn on, hit it as hard as you can with the hammer and you Will get its attention.
