it's the NAALWP.

The NAACP was started to help black people confront covert and overt racist attacks on them by white people.

The reason there is no NAAWP is because white people were never slaves to blacks, never lynched for looking at a black woman, never read a sign in a shop window that said "Help Wanted - No Whites Allowed," never were denied the right to vote because they were white and never had to march in protest for ten years just to get the right to sit in the front of the bus.

Add to that, black people still have to deal with the fact that in many communities in America, if they are found outside after sundown, they get beat.

I dare any of you white teens who say so many racist things on this site, to see a professional make-up artist and make yourself look black and walk around in an all-white neighborhood for a week.

None of you have the guts to do so.

NAACP was necessary at one time when blacks did not have many of the basic rights that whites did. Because society is dominated by whites there is no need for a white "naacp". Just like how society is white male dominated and you had the formation of NOW for women. whoever is the minority group within a majority society, will have organziations to help level the playing field for the minority group, so that is why we have minority groups, womens groups, gay and lesbian groups. to help give these segments of the population rights and prevented discrimination

Did you mean NAACP? There is indeed the National Association for the Advancement of White People. But of course it is branded "white racist" by the media.
Dawn C, I really don't think ACLU can be considered the equivalent of a white NAACP.

White people don't need an NAA-- because white people have regular life and all its built-in advantages. Our "clubs" and its members are: most fraternities and sororities, lots of employers and landlords and teachers and elected officials and media-type people and police officers, golf courses and hockey rinks, store clerks, people on the subway or the airplane or the bus, even people who keep posting these repeated threads about the Don Imus situation and defending him ... etc.

And yeah, I guess you'd say the KKK or other "white power" movements attempt to "advance" white people. I haven't figured out what we as white people need "advancement" on that the entire country as a whole wouldn't benefit from, but whatever.

Yeah, bring on those thumbs-down, I can feel 'em coming.

No, and there is no United Caucasian college Fund and there is no Miss White America Beauty pageant either....those would be racist. Talk about your double standard in this country. Don Imus was wrong to say what he did but his firing was led by two of the biggest racists in this country today..Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

No there is not and there does not need to be one. The only problem I have with the NAACP is their commercial about education. The one where they say a mind is a terrible thing to waste. It's true, but does it matter what color skin that brain is in?

I think you are confused. The agency you are referring to is the NAACP. An equivalent would be the ACLU, American Civil Liberties Union.

(The NCCAP is The National Certification Council for Activity Professionals)

NAACP is for "Colored People" and was created to help "colored people" make it in areas where they were not wanted - schools, universities, hospitals, court rooms, etc. It did very good work at one point in time.
