Don't see any problems at a glance. As long as all you want to do is browse the Internet and send e-mail, 32 MB video is not mediocre, it's atrocious. 128 MB is about the standard in my opinion these days. All in all I don't feel this computer is worth more than $100.00 if that. Sorry

If no brand of a company, it means that the PC you are buying is a self-built one and has not passed the genuine test of Microsoft. So if you're planning to download updates and upgrades your system will be limited but still have a wide variety of free software out there. I'd say less than $150 is the best price. You're friend probably built it himself but it has also advatanges. You only have all the essentials and no other garbage software which you rarely use.

Configuration looks good to me, although using a celeron processor, don't expect to do any hardcore gaming. The RAM is decent, video card is mediocre. If you were planning on just surfing the web and playing online games, its fine. Other than that, you really need at least a pentium 4 processor and a 128lb video card. Don't expect to run the new WindowsVista on it either. It'll run, but it will be real sluggish. If you buy it, stick with WindowsXP.

Just want to share my experience, .... if the 40 GB Hd is partitioned, it is rather inadequate my today's standard, 1.7 MHz is rather slow,VGA 32 MB is also small.... I'm waiting for Vista's bugs to be fixed before buying a new one. I'm running out of space to install more programs. .

If you do not like games, then you will be quite OK with that PC. Otherwise, do not buy that PC because it will be miserable with games.

If it were me, I wouldn't pay more than $300 for it (and that may even be too high priced).
No mismatches that I can see. Looks fine and dandy :)
