Had the same problem. Feel asleep with it on, the headphones got lodged in the couch, without thinking I pulled them out and one of the buds came off. I went to best buy and spent 7.00 on these "jelly headphones" (JVC) , they have them in all colors, and they would great. Not sure where you could get actual replacement ones, maybe eBay.

It's probable that the thin wire leading to the right earphone got stretched and broken. That usually happens when you wind the cord around the player when you're not using it. You can splice a new bit of wire in, but it's very fine detail work - might be easier to just pick up another set of earphones. They only cost a few dollars.

If you really want to know how to fix them, it would help immensely if you actually told us what is wrong with them. Do they not work at all? Is the sound fuzzy? Is something physically broken on them?
The phones that come with the iPod are cheap headphones. Your best solution would be to go to Wal-Mart and spend $9.95 on another set of headphones.
