I had a great place like that in Texarkana; open fields side and back, street on the other two sides.
Right now I live in an upscale trailer park, if that's not a contradiction in terms. They refer to it as a "mobile home community" and have all sorts of strict rules about what you can and can't have in the yards, etc. and how they have to be kept up. Ours is actually pretty nice, with a great bare wood front porch and a circle drive, and there is a MONSTER yellow rose bush by the steps. The neighbors on both sides are hispanic, very quiet. There's a church across the street, and some young people with their child. Not much noise except on Saturday night, and I can live with that!

Next to me to the North is a middle-aged couple who live in the house seasonally. On the South side is a couple in their early 40's and they're cool. About the best neighbors anybody could ask for. We each have 5 acres so we hardly notice each other.

I have neighbors across the Hall, and one above me. I think at least. Seen the ones across the hall once, and I think I know who the one above me is.
My address is a City address, but I live next to corn and Hay Fields, YET, there is a McDonalds, Burger King, and Dunkin Donuts less than 2 miles away.

On the west side there is a wide open field with cows. On the east side there is a wide open field with cows and a fish pond. Yours sounds nice too :)

The neighbors on my right have a nice house, and keep their yard quite neat. The ones on my left aren't so tidy, but always have kids over from around the block playing basketball or something.

Rail road tracks. and my old english teacher is across the road . The kids love the train and I'm just waiting for some jacka** to blow through without looking for the train since there's no warning lights.
