Strangely, it is very high.

I was in the hospital for a kidney stone that had brought me to my knees. Previously, to that, I was there for 3 compound fractures on the same leg.

The kidney stone caused me to pass-out several times with pain, yet, I didn't know why I was passing out. The fractures, set with pins, I think, sensitized me to its pain. That felt worse.

High tolerance for physical pain, but low for mental pain- heartbreak in particular.

I usually have a high tolerance for pain. Like for me, labor wasn't bad. I did get an epidural at 6cm, because there was some difficulties and my Dr suggest getting one, so I just went with it. But back pain really bothers me. When my back really hurts, I become a big old cry baby!

Tough to say. Something externally hurting me I have a low tolerance for, but internal aches and pains I seem to have quite a tolerance.

Fairly high, I manage to walk where I absolutely have to, in spite of having no ankle joints left to speak of...and my Baby chewed on me a lot when he was a kitten, and yes, it hurt, but not enough to stop him doing something he enjoyed! Did have to make him leave the legs alone, though, after a 4-day stay in the hospital for an "infection of unknown origin" that my doctor insisted was "Cat scratch fever"...he was thrilled, no one in his class had ever seen a case, lol. And that hurt a lot too. I've learned that whining about pain gets nothing but annoyed looks, so I don't.

Low now, I have been in chronic pain for 13 years, so my pain tolerance is pretty much gone.

Extremely high. I can break bones and not know it, I think they are either sprained or bruised. However the worst pain in the world is nerve pain. Until you have experienced nerve pain you truly don't know what pain really is. All the drugs in the world can't stop the full effects of nerve pain, they just make it more bearable.

mine's really high, but only because i've had to endure so much physical pain for such long amounts of time. after a while you just have to learn to deal with it, not even drugs can help, the only thing that will take your mind off of it is sleep. but just like one of the other posters said, i dont even notice im hurt till i look down and im bleeding.
