It definitely be caused by being diabetic, that's how my mother found out she had diabetes. You should go in for a top to bottom physical examination. Eating yogurt may or may not help, but it couldn't hurt!

A yeast infection is a imbalance in the pH in the vagina.
Hormonal changes can affect this, so discuss that with your physician.
Diabetic test meters (generic ones) and supplies can be bought over the counter at a Walgreens for dirt cheap. You could find out if you're diabetic without going to the doctor.
The infection can be transferred back and forth between partners. Yes, men can get them. So make sure both of you have been checked out/treated before engaging in sexual activity again.
In the meantime, until insurance comes along, try a community clinic with a sliding scale fee or free visits. Just to be on the safe side get an HIV test. Recurrent thrush infections in the mouth and vaginal yeast infections are symptoms.
Eat right. Eat the yogurt, exercise, go without underwear, etc... I'm sure you've read it already on other sites.
P.S. I don't see her here tonight, but check with Sokol, as she's very wise and might be able to offer more insight.

yuck, I hate yeast infections, I had one very persistant one that lasted 6 months once. You have to eat yogurt every day, get another diflucan but not 1 dose, it has to be 2-3 weeks worth of 1 a day to get rid of the persistant ones. There are some feminine wipes, Messengil makes that help, they feel cooling, also oatmeal baths are good too, and vaseline to coat and protect. I would get a culture or smear of the infection and make sure it's all yeast and not bacterial because treating a yeast infection that is really bacterial will worsen it.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aMEvv
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Having a constant problem with yeast infections means you've had too many medications already. You need to get the balance of good bacteria back in your system. I know it sounds bizarre but a douche with natural yogurt without any sweeteners will help and it's also soothing. You need those enzymes and bifidus to correct the problem. The Diflucan will kill the yeast but then you need to replenish the good stuff to have it stop returning. Good luck, I know how totally miserable this can be! Ugh!

A yeast infection will go away.
If it doesn't go away, then it's probably something else.... like herpes.
A yeast infection should be easily treatable with over the counter medications, and medications used to treat these infections should not cause pain or discomfort.
You need to stop diagnosing and treating yourself.
Get to the doctor, have some swabs taken.
Find out what you're REALLY dealing with.

I've just had a yeast infection. I washed with warm water, no perfumed products like soap or bubble bath, and most importantly I religiously used my canasten cream to clear things up. I also ate a lot of yoghurt to help clear things up, but that's an old wives tale and I'm not sure if it helped a great deal.

you're gonna have to see a Dr. for this. I never knew of over-the-counter yeast meds to be painful. Are you sure it's yeast? You say you hope you are not diabetic. You need to KNOW if you are or not. Do you have itching? Rubbing alcohol will burn worse than fire for about 1 minute but it stops the itching for a while. Also iodine dabbed on will help until you go to the doctor. Look up all your symptoms on Webmd.

I get alot of yeast infections. I do not know why. I am on some medications for depression. I asked my psychiatrist about it he said it should have no effect on it. I just don't know.
I know your sex life stinks. I ended a few relationships because of it. It is a time when bigger is not better.
I don't know what to tell you other than go see a doctor.

Have you tried Acidophilus pills? They are available over the counter and they help to balance out the system and can significantly decrease yeast infections. Unfortunately, I cannot take it, because I'm allergic to it. But I do know that many people swear by it for that very reason.
