you are connecting two different things. pigs are genetically not related to human. BUT pigs do have approximately same size, body shape, basic functions and diet like humans have and this is the reason why pigs are used for genetic modifications to provide gen-manipulated hearts for transplants.
eating or not eating pigs is merely a philosophic or religious problem, it is not a problem of nutrition. muslims have problem eating pigs, hinsdu have problem eating cow, many human societies haveor had no problem eating human. so far.
genetic relationship does have no effect upon dietary limitations

You'll find that the religions which forbid the eating of pig developed in regions of the world where pigs play host to an annoying, if deadly, parasite. Not eating pig there will save your life.
Interestingly, cannibals used to refer to people as "long pig." Apparently there was a similarity in taste. Fortunately, few cannibals exist today- those which ceremonially consume their dead are all dying off from a disease similar to mad cow. So don't eat the same species as you, but otherwise things are OK.

No dear,,,,no
What they said, and meant, is that pigs are ANTIGENICALLY close to humans....(that means that there are some similarities or a lot of similarities on the surface of the cells)...and the rejection of the organic material once implanted in the human body is less likely ....(it is more or les well tolerated if implanted)
The DNA sequence pr genoma of the pig , as in all mammals, has some points in common with humans as its the case of monkeys, and other vertebrates,,,,but no....ingesting pork has nothing to do with it either.
If such statements were true, we would be already implanting pigs hearts inside of humans chest cavity.....or intestine, or liver....such thing has never happened-
The only material that is well tolerated, is the heart valve made from specially treated pigskin (mitral and tricuspid valves) in cardiac surgery.....

Totally a myth. We are no more related to pigs than we are to deer, sheep, or cows.
Even if we were, that wouldn't be a reason we could not eat them (unless we're talking ethics).
In Africa, primates (our close cousins) are commonly hunted and eaten.
