Actually, Hispanic names (Reyes, Rodriguez, Santos) may mean they are Latino, but I think Caucasian and African-American people have quite similar nature of names (Maxwell, Freeman, Washington)...

Well, there is no sure way of knowing especially between whites and blacks. However, Spanish is a little easier to distinguish due to the language difference. Some popular names include:

Always keeping in mind that a person's race is the least important part about him/her, Spanish people's surnames are easily recognised, whereas many black people bear English surnames, no doubt when they took the surnames of their former masters in the times of slavery.

blacks have kinda normal last names, but weird first names. Mexicans will have obviously mexican names. 9 out of 10 times you will know if the person is white by reading their first and last name.

Might be difficult considering that people can be white -and- Spanish at the same time.

for a black person, their first name will have a little afro.
for the white person, the first and last names won't be able to dance.
for the spanish person, the first name will be able to dance and it will dance the macarena

well basically if it doesnt make sense(shaniqua, female"no ****, this girl was named female, pronounced fa ma le") and youre white or spi c, then that means its a ***.ger name. everyone knows juan, pablo & francisco
