Like exercise, a little pain is good, alot of pain isn't.

It's always a good idea to 'challenge' ourselves intellectually, but as with exercise, doing it to the point that makes us recoil from it, or makes us avoid it, actually negates the point of engaging in the activity in the first place.

You wouldn't give a 1st grader War and Peace to read, their brain would hurt trying to figure everything out. Alot of it depends upon the context of why you are getting asked the question, how frequently, and/or how difficult the answer is that you come up with. Maybe you chose your job because it was a no-brainer; if that's the case, then maybe deep intellectual questions are something that you feel 'pressured' to engage in but really don't want to, and the pain is your brain's way of saying 'this doesn't fit.'

Rocket scientists need to visit clubs and listen to comics tell bad, but funny, jokes too. One doesn't have to be 'intellectual' to positively contribute to those around them.

right!! try to exercise little by little......

i mean start with less challenging questions...

then if your getting used to it, try harder ones to stretch those brain muscles a little more...

also, i suggest you find a better job... one that uses brain....
