I hate the song of Beyonce "irreplaceable" but I like that line "To the left"

There's a line I hate in a song I like. It's "Runaway Love" by Ludacris and Mary J., and I though it was a really good song for young girls, kind of inspirational. And then at the end, Luda says "Close your eyes and picture us running away together..when you open your eyes, everything will be OK..." It just seems so pretentious of him.
