Iowa. Smack in the middle. By far the best place in Iowa, because no matter which way you go, you're leaving.
Actually, it was a great place to be raised, peaceful, even in the 60s and 70s. No riots, not much of anything, except kids driving cars like maniacs and drinking beer in the pasture.

Oakland, California...hospital called " Pill Hill ". Those that live in the Bay Area know of it. It's just over the Bay Bridge that connects to San Francisco. Still live in Northern California.
