Maybe if you wore it to grad, too, it might spark their interest.

But really, look for something in a better price range. The girl who stole the show on our Prom night showed up in a dress that cost only $70!!! She absolutely glowed and stunned everyone--she wasn't really a knockout type, but that night--ooh la la!

Ur parents might be on to somthing with the whole not in to prom thing. A few years from now prom will be nothing. My parents didn't help me at all for prom, its kind of a waste. A dress you will wear once maybe twice, and it 500$?

You could go to vintage stores they have so many dresses I'm sure you can find something you like and you could have it altered to fit your body and after a clean I think it would work. It shouldn't cost you much at all. have your mom drive you around to the stores you could check on the net for vintage stores around your area or you might have to go a bit further (I mean Vintage is in fashion right now). YOu will look unique and cute I'm sure of it give it a go.

well, it's crunch time, you need to get your dress so you can get your shoes so you can get your jewelry and so on. there is a lot of planning for prom and most of it is based on your dress. i'd try to go for a second best. it is pretty ridiculous to spend 500 bucks on a dress you'll prolly only wear once.

Get another dress. Your parents are right, this is too much to spend for one night. Unless you can convince them that you can use the dress for weddings, etc.

have this dress you like imitated by a friend(dressmaker) of if you really wanna get that dress, you have to earn money of course. Get a job. LOL. A sponsor would be great.

I'd look at http://www.berraboutique.com

They have a bunch of super cute dresses for super low prices. Then you can spend whatever you have left over on some gorgeous jewelry and awesome shoes!
