How cute! Right now, I have two Shih Tzus, BooBoo and Cocoa and they just plop down and sleep wherever, whenever. Most animals do...but I did have this one amazing dog once. She was a terrier dog named Yoda. My grandmother always made afghans, and she had one right behind her recliner just for Yoda. Yoda would go back there and fluff it up until it was just right to go to sleep. I loved that dog. She was awesome. She was also the only animal I've ever seen whose favorite food was sweet potatoes. :)

My shih tzu just lays down anywhere he wants and usually it is in the middle of the walkway. He has his own bed which he sleeps in some during the day and sometimes in the night. He amazes me how he can go to sleep on a dime. Then again he can hear me move the minute I get off the couch and jump up from in the kitchen where he was sleeping.

My dog plops down on any cold floor. But she prefers a soft place to sleep. She is a big German shep. mix, and she sleeps with me on the bed at night, on the couch during the day, and when I am sitting in one living room chair, she will often go and sit in one that is next to me.
She's so sweet and spoiled. :-)

My Maltese digs and burrows with is nose under the covers, then digs with his paws like he is burying a corpse 50 times his size, then turns in a circle about 20 times.
I think the circle thing is some sort of ritual that he does...like obsessive compulsive...lmao

hahah! That is just so funny. WHY do they do dat?? Every dog I have ever had (numbering in the trillions) walks around their 'spot' or 'bed' a few times, then PLOP down! hehe My Rott and my Norwegian Elkhounds did the same thing, and so did my pet rats!

Sometimes I can't even figure out what my dog is trying to accomplish when he fools around with the blanket so much. It usually takes him a few minutes to get it just the way he wants it, which looks exactly the same as when he started.
Oh well, it makes him happy, so it's ok with me.

My Toby has a favorite bed that I bought for him, but he also likes to lay on a certain quilt in the living room on the floor ;-)

Mine scratches at the surface like she's trying to dig a hole in the carpet or the couch or whatever.

If I'm at the computer he just flops down. But at bedtime he fluffs up his blankets in his bed that is in my room.
