The first Holocaust of the 20th century was in Armenia and Turkey during WW1 when the Turks slaughtered the Armenians.
The second Holocaust was during WW2 when the Germans slaughtered the social democrats, communists , homosexuals, gypsies and jews and anybody else they considered worthless.
This took place mainly in Poland and Germany but the victims came from all the countries of Europe invaded by the Germans

While the death camps were located in Poland, still plenty of killing in Germany. However, I'd say the Holocaust (using the term to cover all the Nazi's victims) would have to be considered to have occurred in every country allied or occupied by the Germans. Shouldn't you count all those killed before they ever saw a boxcar as dying in the Holocaust? They didn't just kill people at the camps after all.

The concentration camps were mostly in Germany and Poland. Others were in Czechoslovakia and Austria. Many killings of Jews took place in Russia, but I do not know of any major camps located there.

The Holocaust mostly happened in slave and death camps in Germany and Poland but other Axis countries cooperated with them. Sending their Jews and political prisoners to be murdered or for slave labor
