When you are introduced to quite a few people..... how do you try to remember their names so you dont have to ask them again?

This is an interesting question. I have a TBI, and I have techniques that I try my best to make work. They aren't always full-proof.
When introduced to someone for example:
Joe: Hello I am Joe.
Me: Joe? It's nice to meet you, Joe.
I try to say there name twice, make eye contact, and shake their hand. See it. Hear it. Touch it. Its like playing on stepping stones ... remembering where you have been.

I'm Awful With Peoples Names, I Remember Faces But If I Hadn't Seen Someone In Awhile Forget It, I Just Can't Place Their Names~

I make an exaggerated image out of their name that matches a prominent part of them. For instance if someone had bad acne scars and her name was Sandy, I would picture using sand paper to smooth out her face. The more outrageous the picture, the easier it is to remember.

I dont... I just usually remember it and plus sometime during the night or day someone is going to say their name while talking to them. Reminder 1!

Like Idahoturkey said, I also use visual exaggerations sometimes. Alot of times I also use rhyming words or phrases to help me remember.

I'm really bad...You know I was introduced to a new manager at work..and he reminded me of Barney Rubble from the Flintstones...and I kept calling him Barney (not meaning to) and he kept asking me why I was calling him Barney...how embarrassing!

I try to write them down, then I will sometimes give them a nic name, to help me remember who is who.

well...sometimes i don`t remember their names so...i just say.."Hi...how`s it going?" No need really to know their name as long as you recognize them...they don`t know that u don`t remember their name.

I "try" to relate their names to someone else I know with the same name.....I am baaaddd with names.
