This is more an emotional argument than scientific. I know the press and certain politicians say there is a "consensus " among scientists that global warming is a fact. Did someone ask all scientists to vote on this and that's how we have a "consensus"? I am sure you could find equal amounts of scientists saying it is normal changing pattern, or no global warming,or unsure.

I think if you tell a story long enough, loud enough, and worldwide enough, it becomes fact to many people. Ice records are only a part of the story. If earth is warmer than 100,000 years ago, could it be the way it was planned? How about just checking the ice cores from 1750 to present and then compare with the previous 99,800 years. Hard to blame mankind and cars for anything prior to the industrial revolution and modern living. Many of the true global warming believers think it is too late and anything we will do will be stop gap only.If that is a "truth" then lets just all get ready for the big ending .

Being "Chicken Little" and saying the sky is falling, doesn't accomplish much other than some panic.God will decide when he has had enough of us and there definitely wont be anything you can do about that.

No, actually if there were freeze warnings in effect, that would be right the opposite of proving global warming.. Global warming is when the weather climate is slowly "warming" over years.

The term Global Warming is very much understood as you so plainly have. The definition does not say that it implies to "warming" and high temperatures. It is to be more precise, climate changes, which includes all sorts of bizarre weather patterns. For instance, where I live there was just a big snowfall of 12 cm. this for a fact, is a record.

Yes. This past winter was under the effects of El Nino and one of the symptoms of Global Warming is weather instability... but the people who don't believe in Global Warming will point at the cold so they can say "SEE... I'm Right"

The TRUTH is, the earth is the WARMEST now than it has been in the past 100,000 years AND THAT IS IN THE ICE RECORD

The people who still don't want to accept the reality of global warming (or more accurately, climate change) are those who don't know the difference between weather and climate. They also don't want to have to lift a finger to do anything about t even if they were convinced of it.

Global warming seems like a vote to me. If liberal politicians really cared, would they be flying private jets that emitt more fuel than most families use in a year? They also plant trees to 'offset' the gas, but in the winter, the tree's emit more carbon dioxide than oxygen, making it go up even more.

I'm afraid the global warming hysteria is just beginning. Once Democrats realize how well they can demagogue the issue, they won't ever shut their pie holes.
